Why should I pay for an online performance?
Good question. There are a lot of free shows online and while we applaud making art more accessible to all, we also recognise the financial burden this creates for the people who made those shows. At OnJam, we host high quality live, as-live and on demand performances by talented artists of all kinds. What are tip jars?
At OnJam, we're on a mission to share thrilling online performances with audiences, and empower artists to make meaningful incomes online. Tickets to shows are one part of this. Tip jars are another. Tip jars appear on Artists' public profiles and enable them to receive payments between shows or even if they don't have a show on just yet. We believe digital performances are here to stay: there are always reasons audiences or fans can’t make it to a physical space to watch a show, pandemic or not. We’ve also found lots of exciting creative opportunities online: artists collaborating remotely, performances in unusual spaces, global audiences, and fans seeing amazing performances more close up than a front-row seat.
